Hello Michael, Thank you for your service and for the advice on how to persue this matter. I have not sent her any money, and of course, do not intend to send any. I will file a report with the embassy though. Hopefully it will prevent someone from being defrauded in the future. Now that I know her for what she is and have seen how her scam operates, I am having fun playing along with her. From the reports on the Black List she likes to use either the sick grandmother or the evil boss who won't pay her to extort money from men. I am not sure which she is going to use, maybe both. Her grandmother is ill frequently now, and her boss is treating her poorly since he is angry at her for leaving her job. I think that I will continue to write her, and see how many trips she will make to the Western Union office before she realizes that I won't ever send her any money.

Thank you for you input and feedback, They agency I was dealing with gave me the very strong impression that they were truly legitimate. But as I start to put all the pieces together I guess not. This is a very sad disappointment to me as you can understand. I guess it was better to spend a little money now rather than lose much more later.

The name Galina Volkova was actually where I was supposed to send money to in Norilsk. Since I haven't actually sent any money, I really don't have a way to prosecute anything do I? I'm not sure I want to go through all the hassle since I haven't really lost anything (other than your background check fee). Anyway, if you want additional information, I will be glad to provide it. I think at this point I will tell her the charade is over.

Thank you very much for the information. I suspected as much about her. I will forward you her last letter to me...she talks about an account to send money to. You may be able to assist the authorities on this person. Please let me know if the attachment is readable or not...I can resend it. Is it possible that I send you information about another scam artist? I located her on another marriage internet site. I'm in the process of filing criminal charges against this one, but I'm waiting for all pertinent documents for the moment.
It appears that all the Russian or Eastern European woman who write to me turns out to be scam artists. I am certain there are plenty of honest women out there, but I'm just not sure where. Can you recommend any suggestions?
I have found a number of scam artists on dating and marriage sites also. This makes a person have to be wary of anyone who appears innocent and genuine.

Thank you for rechecking the profile on Tatiana B.. I never sent her money directly, but had to use agency credits (costing $6 each) to read her emailed letters and respond to them. Having read 38 of her letters and responded to 36 of them, she undoubtedly received a portion of the $444 I spent to correspond with her. Therefore, she definitely and intentionally perpetrated a financial fraud upon me. So, yes, I would be most appreciative if you would please inform the Odessa police about this case. Someone of such disreputable character should unquestionably be prosecuted. I don't want to see any other men victimized the way I was. Once again, I appreciate the efforts of your investigation.

Michael, I suspected from the 3rd email and it was confirmed by the 7th email that this was a scam artist. I had already ordered the background check from you by that time and your report confirmed that I already knew. An original
email from her is attached.
You can use my name and comments below on your website (just edit it to fit your format) if it will help some other genuine man seeking love in the FSU.
Below is what I had observed, surmised and deduced before I received your report:
The single biggest mistake "she" made was assuming I was stupid. "Elena" is probably "Boris". How does anyone ever get duped by these people??
Here are the facts:
1>She didn't answer my direct questions except as exposition interjected into her canned email responses.
2> She never responded to the email I sent her via Americansingles.com - even though she logged in there every day
3> The information on Americansingles is different from what she told me. That she had an Americansingles.com profile *at all* raised HUGE alarm bells from the beginning.
4> She had 1 chance in 100,000 of getting a US Tourist Visa. 25 percent of all FSU applicants are refused
5> I could have flown out to Siberia in less than a month and I stated this many times.
6> She "fell in love" far too quickly - less than 3 weeks??? Unlikely and unreal. C'mon, are people really that stupid?
7> She did not send me a copy of her Passport as I requested
8> Her address did not check out - I looked it up online.
10> She paid no attention to my statements that I would come to her sometime in the future.
11> In any case, if she were a real person, I would have paid for the ticket - it would be much cheaper in the US and that way I could get a refund. Only a fool would send money.
12> There were too many anomalies - too many inconsistencies which made me suspicious from the beginning
13> Too many coincidences like the miraculous arrival of "her cousin from Moscow" (she still called her "my cousin", even after I used her cousin's name - that was a test that she failed)
14> I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt - but she did not provided any concrete information that I requested.
15> I stated in every email that we have to go slow - but she rushed ahead in the hope of befuddling me
16> She had no chance of me parting with any money. There is a sucker born everyday, but I am not one of them
17> Money was and is not an issue with me. But my wasted time and emotions are.
18> I have wasted far too much time on her - and that is my fault entirely.
19> She was inattentive - she missed the "I cannot sponsor you" statement.
20> It didn't matter that I am not yet an American citizen - which raised alarm bells right away.
21> She never wanted to discuss anything practical - more alarm bells
22> She would send 5 or 6 pictures of a series that is up to at least 77
23> The pictures she used were of a Tommy Hilfiger model. The model is drop dead gorgeous - too gorgeous. But I would love to meet the model!
24> Her time zone was showing +4 hours GMT yet she said she was living in Sibera. Should have been +8 or +9 hours GMT. I got this information from her email headers.
25> She needs to update her scamming software - the Artificial Intelligence is very poor. I program for a living. Get real.
26> I wonder who else she duped?

Michael, Thank you for the report. I did not send "her" any money, I decided to chedk her out before sending, thankfully. You need do no more on my account, the web link that you sent me to had the EXACT letters that "she" sent to me. They were EXACTLY the same, only the name in the letters was changed. I have the text of the letters, if they would benefit you, or I could send them to the stop scammers web site, to help prevent someone else from sending "Boris" more money. Thanks, Bob App..

It is amazing how these criminals are cleverly organized. I have learned my lesson with scam artists. Since I did not respond to her last "girlfriend email" she stopped writing or contacting me. I guess they know when they have lost a "client".

I work with local FBI on several cases over past 5 years and it is always good to bring people to justice. I'm sure that she or he has stolen someone's identity and that is why they could not give an more photo's of mom and dad...and Snap the dog.
